The home buyers group raised concerns about the ambiguity of the rules presented in the draft RERA with regard to ongoing and stalled projects. According to the group “There are loopholes which will let the promoters of the ongoing projects go scot-free and as a result, the suffering of existing home buyers will not come to an end.”

After the meeting, the minister promised them that the interest of the home buyers will be taken care of. He also assured the group that the MoS for Housing would review the draft rules for the implementation of RERA.
